My birthday was Wednesday! I had a most wonderful day. I started out getting my free Starbucks for breakfast. For lunch, we took Tam to Firebirds! It is one of our favorite restaurants, and Brad and I lost a bet so Tam got lunch free.
When we went in, we sat at our favorite table, and then our favorite server walked by! He was not waiting the tables in our section, but he likes us so much he switched tables with another server to take care of us. We love Kevin! He’s great!
We all got the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, though Brad and Tam split one sandwich and got an extra side. I saved all my fries to eat later. It was soooooo tasty! And then I got a small cheesecake for free for dessert! And I got $10 off because it was my birthday. All around a wonderful time! Brad got some pictures of our food, and us smiling while posing with each other. The free bread at the table looked like a butt, so we got pictures of that, too.
I am wearing a strapless blue dress that was a gift from my in-laws, and a beautiful blue necklace that my dad got me a year or so ago. Brad is wearing an orange shirt that is part of his cruise wardrobe. Tam is wearing black. And Felix is wearing a galaxy themed vest.
Next we went to the Museum of Illusions. Brad and I had been there before, but not Tam. I had wanted to go back, so even though it is pretty expensive, we decided to do it. It is around $35 a person, and the museum is only about an hour and a half to two hours worth of entertainment. So it’s not really all that worth it. But we had a great time!!!!! We got some wonderful pictures.
We saw an infinity heart in the gift shop that Tam loved. And then we had fun in a room that is set up to look like it’s sideways. So it looks like we are hanging from the ceiling! There were a couple of mirror illusions that made us look like there were many of us!
One of my favorite exhibits is what looks like the wall of a building that is on the floor with an angled mirror so it looks like if you are lying on the wall that you are actually hanging off of it! We had a lot of fun with that! Tam and I went in the room that looks like I am huge while she is small. We got some really funny pictures of me looking like I’m dominating her in there! I love the table that you climb under and mirrors make it look like your body is hidden and your head is on a platter on the table. Felix went in there with me! Tam made the best faces, though, like a dead one!
We did an illusion where Tam looks small on a chair and Brad looks big next to her. And they had a tube that looked like it was spinning and you were super dizzy walking through it!
There was a room where different colored lights made you see different things on the walls. We got several cute pictures of Brad and me doing different poses in that room. And the next exhibit had lights making different colored shadows. Brad made an ostrich head shadow puppet!
We had fun on the illusion that makes it look like Tam and I are falling through a tube! There are some really funny pictures of Tam and me half hidden behind a mirror so that parts of us look like they are doubled, while other parts are hidden. The best pictures are of me where my head is hidden but one arm and one leg are out, making me look like I am a whole person without a head! And the final exhibit was a kaleidoscope tube that we enjoyed making faces into!
We had a great time there at the museum! We were all very tired by the time we were done, and then we went home and I fell asleep! It was a wonderful day, and I was so happy to celebrate my birthday with my two favorite people and my favorite dog!
