Video shorts at the end! About a week and a half ago, Brad and I had an outing where we went to Publix to do some training, and then got our COVID and flu vaccinations at CVS.
We went to Publix because Felix has shown some worry there in the bakery and fish departments. He shows a lot of worry in the bakery and deli in Walmart, so we figured we’d start training in Publix where things were a bit easier than Walmart. But we will go to Walmart soon and do some training!
We went all over the store in Publix, up and down several aisles, into the frozen section, produce, fish, deli, and bakery. Brad got LOADS of videos in all these sections!
Overall I’m pleased with how Felix did. He was a bit nervous in the fish and bakery sections at first, but after repeated training sessions in each section, he got more and more comfortable until you couldn’t tell he was ever worried in those sections!
He also showed no fear in the frozen section, and just got out of the way when I opened the doors.
Then we headed to CVS to get our vaccinations. We didn’t have to wait too long for them, and Brad got a great video of Felix jumping up into my lap while we were waiting. Brad even got some video of me getting the shot! And some video of how narrow the store aisles were with all kinds of boxes and displays in the aisles.
It was a good outing, but we were gone for only like 2 hours and were exhausted by the time we got home! We had wanted to go to one more store, but just didn’t have it in us.
