Gorgeous garb 2

Hestia and I got new outfits! Hestia got a service dog coat, and I got a leggings outfit. Plus I got a medical ID bracelet. We got everything (except the service dog patch) from aliexpress.com where you buy things from China for inexpensive prices but shipping takes a month and there’s not as much of a guarantee. These things were all bought on Veteran’s Day, exactly a month ago today.

Brad did a photo shoot today in our front yard with our new outfits. I may have applied a little pressure to make this happen…

I am wearing pink flowered leggings ($5) with giant bully breed dog faces on them and a pink top with a large shawl collar ($10). Hestia is wearing a purple trenchcoat-style coat ($9) with a reflective service dog patch on the back. I am also showing off my stainless steel bracelet ($5) with a red medical symbol that says, “Don’t separate service dog” on the front and two phone numbers on the inside. Brad also got a picture of my new boots (from amazon) and some things in the yard.

Veronica has her right arm reaching up, leaning on a tree. Her head is tilted towards the tree and she is smiling. Hestia stands next to her, looking off to Veronica's left.

Veronica is in the same position as the last picture, but her head is tilted up towards the sky as the waves of her hair break along her shoulders down to her chest. Hestia is in the same position, too.

The best picture of the bunch, Hestia looks up and slightly to her left as her tail curls over her back.

Tongue out Tuesday as Hestia covers her entire nose with her tongue! Her snout is so short her tongue reaches up to the crevice between her eyes.

In this picture, Hestia looks straight into the camera and googles her eyes madly! She looks like if you were to shake her by the shoulders, her eyes would keep wobbling around in her head.

With the house in the background, Veronica stands and smiles while Hestia sits in front of her. Many fallen brown and fawn leaves litter the landscape, including the driveway. In front of a bush close to the front door, a two-foot-wide, bluish-silver metal butterfly lawn ornament sits casually askew three feet in the air, staked in the ground.

A three-inch wide, thin tuft of grass sprouts from the tawny leaves like an aging rebel's thin but still-spiked hair, contumaciously defying the wintry season.

Clusters of orbital fruit, so deeply purple as to seem black, rise sparsely from among the Monkey Grass. The scene glows as if in a dream.

Red leather boots with a ruched pattern. Veronica has one foot raised onto her toe—posing smartly, not to bring an end to any unfortunate life with an exoskeleton. The rich red of the boots and reds and pinks of the leggings offer a strong contrast to the grays and composting browns of the driveway and its leafy detritus.

I try to buy American as often as possible. I just got a new medical alert bracelet because my old one is wearing out, but I didn’t think to put ‘keep service dog with handler’ becasue the med issues take up both sides. I’ll have to figure something out.
