Specifying spectacles 2

Today was supposed to be a rest day, but instead, the three frames I liked had arrived for me to try on and yesterday we’d gotten the call that Brad’s glasses were done.  So we headed on over to In Focus Eyecare.  Brad picked up his glasses and is very happy with them.  He looks very in style with his glasses!  They are a turquoise tortoise shell.

I had two pairs of red rectangular glasses and one pair of turquoise round glasses to choose among.  I tried on the round ones first, and I fell in love with them!  The red ones looked pretty good, and much more conventional.  In fact, if I were getting two pairs, I would have gotten the red ones I tried on second (the CHEF ones) as my second and less funky pair.  But the turquoise round ones beat all the glasses out!

They are made out of metal (stainless steel it says on the lens) and have a bumpy texture.  They have a multi-size rectangular pattern that kinda looks like a lot of small flags mixed in with the turquoise.  The frames are about 0.75 cm (or 5/16 in) wide on the top and nose piece, and they are rimless on the bottom.  Normally people with my severe of a prescription cannot wear rimless because the glasses are so thick.  But with these glasses, they are so small that I’m able to squeeze by.

Thank you to Gina and In Focus Eyecare for help picking the glasses, and for the willingness to special order super cool frames!
