There are some times in a small service dog user’s life when you need your dog a little closer to you. For example, if you are having a hard time, you might need pressure therapy on your chest and your dog easily accessible for grounding. Diabetic alert dogs may need to smell their owners’ breath to tell them when their sugars are high or low.
Also, sometimes it is just a dangerous and crowded environment where a small service dog wouldn’t be safe (like in an airport, at a concert, at a festival).
I had an older Maya Wrap given to me and it works great. But I wanted something more colorful. So for my birthday Brad gave me a rainbow lightly padded sling from Maya Wrap. The improvements to the product over the years have been substantial, and I LOVE the new sling.
Here is a video we made about the new Maya Wrap lightly padded sling for a service dog. Oh, and look at the reflective patch I got from Patchtown! I think it stands out nicely!
Her Majesty looks very much at home in there! 😀
Yes, she seems to like it!
