Yesterday we had the best day! It started off with a really helpful phone call in the morning that really eased everyone’s mind about how taxes work.
Next, Tam and I left to do some errands. We started off at the post office to mail Tam’s amended tax returns. It was confusing as we don’t normally mail things certified mail, but we got through it with the help of some nice postal employees.
From there, I took Tam to Bruster’s Ice Cream. I’ve been wanting to go to Bruster’s ever since we moved here, as they’re supposed to have the best ice cream around. But since Brad can’t have ice cream, we never went. Tam had had a few really hard days, so I took her there my treat to help cheer her up and turn her day around.
It was AMAZING! Their ice cream is so incredibly rich and creamy and tasty. Both Tam and I got waffle bowls, which were a delight. They even gave Felix a pup cone, which was a small cup of vanilla ice cream with a mini Milk Bone on top. Here’s a video of Felix eating it.
Tam and I also got a selfie with Felix in the background on my wheelchair and our waffle bowls in the foreground. We had so much fun talking and laughing in the sun! Here’s that picture.
We wanted to go to Dollar Tree next, and realized the closest one was right next to my vet! I was thinking Felix needed his anal glands squeezed, so I called them and they were able to squeeze me in for an appointment!
We had just enough time to stop by the Dollar Tree first and get a few things.
Felix was a champ in the vet’s office, and I had a great time talking with other clients and the techs.
When we left, we realized it was 3:01PM and the place we had wanted to pick up food from stopped serving lunch at 3PM. So I called real quick and they let us place a lunch order even though we were a couple minutes late! We headed right over and picked up our order, and had a great time eating yummy Chinese food together at home.
We got even more good news about estimates for a ramp at the house after we ate!
Overall it was a really excellent day. I hope there are many such days in our future!
