In my never ending health saga, I met with the cardiologist today to go over the results of all my heart tests. They did an echocardiogram of my heart, an ultrasound on my neck arteries, a two week heart monitor, and a stress test. It was a lot of tests!
The doctor said my heart is a bit weak (from the stress test), but nothing to worry about. And my neck arteries are 20% blocked. But, as my doctor said, that means they are 80% clear! He said I should try to avoid processed foods and fats. Tam and I already have a plan for the new year, so we are on it! I go back in six months.
Tomorrow I go see the orthopedist about my ankle, which has a talar dome lesion. That means there is damage to the cartilage and bone in the part of my ankle that connects to my leg bone and bears all my weight. Apparently these are nothing to be trifled with, and it will probably take 6 months to a year to heal, according to doctor Google. But we will learn more tomorrow!
