An Indian meal among errands   Recently updated!

Yesterday was quite the day! We started off by collecting Hestia’s pee and dropping it off at the vet’s office. It was part of her senior bloodwork panel but we couldn’t get pee out of her when we were there.

Then we headed over to the DMV. We had to title Tamara’s mom’s car in her name, and all three of us needed new licenses with our new address on them. Tamara needed a Real ID, too. I tell you, it wasn’t especially hard, but it was still the most stressful experience ever! They handed us paperwork, but our numbers were called immediately so we had no time to fill out the paperwork. Then they had us sit down and fill out paperwork really quickly. We had no idea what we were doing, where we were supposed to go, or anything. I just felt like we were in a whirlwind of who knows what to do now!

Brad helped Tamara with the titling of the car while I did my license. Since I already had a Real ID, it was very easy for me. They were up at the counter for a long time! I was sitting waiting to get my picture taken. I got my picture taken, then they called Tamara’s name. I explained that she was still titling her car, and they asked me to ask her to take a break and come get her picture taken! Luckily she was able to finish up just a minute after I got to her, and then go get her picture taken.

Then we had to wait for Brad to go through the whole process to get his license. Luckily all our pictures turned out pretty good. Though I was tilting my head in mine so they adjusted it for my face to be centered so it looks like I have crooked shoulders. Oh well.

That was SUPER stressful, so we were happy to go to the next stop on our list, Sri Balaji Caffe. They serve dosas, which are my favorite food! Tamara’s anniversary gift to us (for 23 years of marriage) was a trip to a restaurant of our choosing. So we chose this South Indian restaurant.

Everything was very spicy, they must’ve had a spicy cook yesterday! Even things not marked as spicy were almost too spicy to eat! But it was all still very tasty. Brad got pictures of all our food.

On our way home, we stopped by Walmart for a pickup order. Unfortunately they substituted Brad’s bread for one he can’t eat, so that was a big bummer. We may have to walk to Harris Teeter and see what gluten free options they have there for bread so he can eat sandwiches (we got lunchmeat) with us. Luckily the substituted bread has the same calories as my bread that I normally eat (70 calories a slice), so I will be able to eat the bread up. But we still got a refund on it!

It was a busy day, and we were glad to be home. I fell asleep on the couch I was so tired, and didn’t even wake up when Brad and Tamara started playing Farkle (a dice game) on the couch next to me! When I woke up, I joined in. It was fun!

Brad got lots of pictures at the restaurant, they are all below and show the three of us and Felix. I am dressed in a green flower dress. Tamara is wearing all black. Brad is wearing purple and green. And Felix has a new Tinkerbell vest on, thanks to my friend Karin!
