For about the past 10 months, I’ve been having painful swollen feet and ankles. I thought it was due to my weight, so I lost 27 lbs. I still have painful swollen feet and ankles.
So today, Felix and I went to the general practitioner to discuss. She said that given my symptoms of pain when I walk on my swollen feet, and that my feet change color when they are swollen if you massage them, she thinks something may be going on with my arteries being blocked. So she is sending me for an ultrasound where they check the arteries in my feet and legs.
She also is referring me to a vascular surgeon, and to a podiatrist as she thinks I might have flat feet. So that means three more doctor appointments, yay. And probably several more follow ups after. Fun fun. (This is heavy sarcasm.)
I got two pictures of Felix and me in the waiting room, with me wearing the pink hat with white baubles and a peacock feather that Sabrina made me. I also got a picture of Felix in the exam room looking at the camera with the exam chair in the background.
Here’s to a start of a new round of medical appointments for several months. Can’t wait. And they’ll probably find nothing wrong. Oh well. Gotta check.
