The week and a half that I’m in the middle of right now is the week and a half from heck! So today when Brad was editing convention photos, and I looked over and saw pictures of our trip to Sweet Frog, I decided to treat myself to a little Sweet Frog! Sweet Frog is a frozen yogurt place that donated 25% off coupons to our convention, and I have several leftover coupons in my wheelchair bag.
When we got there, there were cars parked in all the accessible spots, and even the access aisle! So I had to double park out in the parking lot again. Luckily no one tried to run me over today!
When I got inside, I saw that they have my favorite flavor—banana! It’s that laffy-taffy or circus peanuts banana flavor, which I really love! Since I was just getting a snack, I only got a little frozen yogurt, and then topped it with a few cherries, some exploding boba balls, and some gummy bears.
The staff there were really kind and told me to just ask them if I needed any help reaching anything. I was able to do it all by myself, but it was nice to be acknowledged and offered help if I wanted it.
I took my froyo outside to eat it, and there were a fair number of people doing the same. I tried to get some selfies, but it just wasn’t working. So I asked a nice Indian couple sitting next to me if they would snap a photo. In it, I’m wearing an orange and blue dress and sitting in my wheelchair. Felix is wearing a purple vest and is on my lap, licking his nose. I have Sweet Frog in one hand, and you can see dark storm clouds behind me.
I texted a few friends while I was there, but after not too long, I was ready to get back to the safety of home. This week so far has been really hard, and the start of next week will be hard, too. So I didn’t really want to people too much. I just wanted a taste of banana heaven!
As I was driving home, a few raindrops started to fall. So when I got home, I gave Alice her thunderstorm meds. Hopefully they’ll work better this time! The thunder is supposed to start in about two hours!
