It’s been a week and a half since the convention ended, and we haven’t left the house once! It takes a lot for us to recover from conventions. But we felt like doing a little something together, so Brad and I went out on a lunch date! We used the free Moe’s coupons from the convention, so we got a totally free date!
My left hip has been hurting in a new way, and more than usual for the past 3–4 days. I’m not sure what’s going on, but it’s been hurting more and more every day. This morning I could only go on a 5-minute walk. And when it was time to go to Moe’s, I didn’t think I could manage to walk into the restaurant, stand in line, and get my food. So I took my wheelchair along.
It is pretty hot today, and was about 85 degrees when we got there with a very high humidity. I put Felix in his cooling vest, and made sure to apply lots of sunscreen before we left!
Luckily there was a small bit of shade out on the patio, so we weren’t too hot. Felix did a very good job of lying on his mat while we ate. He got up three times, but was quickly redirected to lying back down.
I got a picture of Felix on the ground between our wheelchairs on his rainbow mat. He has on his popsicle cooling vest, too. I finished eating first, so I got a picture of Brad eating! He is wearing his purple blazer, teal pants, and a white fedora with palm trees on it. He got a picture of Felix and me (I’m wearing my galaxy dress), as well, with TJ Maxx and the Manchester Village fountain in the background.
We had a really relaxing and good time chatting while we ate. When we were done, we went over to the fountain and got a picture of us with the word “love” which was on the fountain between us! And we got a couple of pictures of us in front of some white columns. Felix has his eyes mostly shut in these pictures because out in the sun it was very bright!
We explored a new pathway to get down from the fountain area back to our car, and didn’t get run over in the process, which was good! Then we headed home.
It was a good, quick outing to get us back in the swing of doing things again after taking a week and a half off to recover! And luckily I don’t have to leave the house again until Monday. Brad gets to stay in until my MRI next Friday!
