Today was a very busy day! First I met with CJ, Judy, and Steve to talk about fundraising for NAMI. We met in a Starbucks inside Harris Teeter. I got iced tea, and it was tasty. After our meeting, I got to hang out with CJ for like 15 min while I waited for Brad to be done with his errands (dropping stuff off at Goodwill and getting a museum pass for NYC). Then we went grocery shopping.
All of that was already just about too much for me, even though we only got yogurt, hummus, and fruit at the store. Then tonight I led a NAMI connections group! I was subbing for someone else, and there are always supposed to be two people there to lead the group. But just before NAMI, the other person called me and asked me to sub for her! So I had to lead the group by myself! Luckily I am totally comfortable doing that 🙂
Brad got some pics of Hestia and me in Harris Teeter in the grape section. I am wearing one of my new Amazon Prime Day dresses, purse, and shoes! The purse is a black rectangle fanny pack (it’s a normal purse, but I’m wearing it as a “waist purse”). The shoes are red leather with leather flowers on them. The dress has a red background and large sugar skulls all over it. It is cut in a 50s style. I LOVE this dress! And the shoes are so comfy– it seems like I don’t even need to break them in!
Enjoy the pictures, and get some rest for me he he he!
that color and cut suits you extremely well, Dr V! what a full day–hoping you are recharging for the next day or two, both you and Brad! (great job on the Empress ignoring the grapes on the floor, four paws up, little miss <3)
Thank you! I love the style of this kind of dress! I got another one that has blue butterflies on it that is a similar style. I will wear it tomorrow!
I don’t know which I like more: the big bunch of tasty grapes or your new dress! It looks cool with all the skulls; but what is a “Sugar Skull”? You made a good choice: you are all dressed up like a professional and exude confidence. Hestia just exudes interest in YOU!!
Have you seen the movie “Coco”? It is about the day of the dead in the Mexican tradition. It is a big holiday for hispanics, where they remember those who have passed on. This holiday has skulls made out of sugar and decorated as shown on my dress. Kinda like at Easter they have those sugar easter eggs with a hole at one end and stuff inside.
