Following my heart   Recently updated!

I’ve been having some tightness and pain in my chest, so yesterday Felix and I went to the cardiologist. My appointment was at 9AM, so too early for anyone to go with me. It was just Felix and me.

Felix was great! He just hung out and chilled in the waiting room and appointment. I was glad I had him, as I really struggle when I go places alone.

The cardiologist wants to run some tests on me including an echocardiogram, an ultrasound on the arteries in my neck, a stress test, and a 2 week heart monitor.

Luckily there were some cancelled appointments, so I got my echo and ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow, my stress test on Thursday, and my heart monitor I pick up in two weeks. I’ll keep calling every day to see if there is a cancellation for the heart monitor, though, so I can get it done sooner.

I won’t be taking Felix to my tests. I’ve had an echocardiogram before at that location, and I brought Hestia with me and it was SO hard to have her with me for that test. There was no room for her anywhere in the room or on the table, and it was a big old mess. And for the stress test, there’s also not really any good place to put Felix. And Tam will be with me for the stress test for sure.

I may be nervous but I know my family of three and my dogs will support me. In spite of all the health issues I’m having, I give heartfelt thanks for all the good things in my life.

Below is a picture that I snapped of Felix and me in the office. I have silver-blonde hair and Felix is a sable and white Japanese Chin.
