My wonderful birthday week   Recently updated!

I was so lucky this year that I was able to celebrate my birthday throughout the whole week! The festivities started on Monday, when we went to Brad’s parents’ house for lunch. I got a picture of me in my purple sequin and chiffon dress that I wore:

Brad’s family aren’t really picture people, so no pictures of our lunch, but it was really fun and we had a great time talking and great food!

The next day was my actual birthday, so I had a Frappuccino from Starbucks (my free birthday drink!) for breakfast. Then Tamara, Brad, and I went to Firebird’s for lunch. We had a fantastic time and got a few pictures of us. I am wearing a sage dress with the same necklace as the last picture (which was a birthday gift from my dad), and a Happy Birthday headband. Tam is wearing black (lol surprise!). Brad is wearing a lavender-y peacock blazer that is just beautiful. The pictures aren’t that great, but the food and company was wonderful!

When we got home we played the game of Life, which you may remember from growing up in the 70s and 80s. We drank while playing it and it was SO FUN!!!!!!!!

On Thursday I had to get a mammogram, so Tam came with me, and we stopped by Krispy Kreme to get my free donuts!

Then on Saturday, Sabrina and Russ came over and we went to Red Bowl for lunch. We didn’t get any pictures, but Sabrina called the whole restaurant to attention and had them all sing me Happy Birthday!!!!!! It was both amazing and embarrassing! Then we came back to the house and played Life while drinking some of the moonshine and whiskey we got in Nashville and had a wonderful time again! That game is definitely better played while drinking! Just don’t tell the little kids that LOL!

My birthday week ended yesterday, when Tam, Brad, and I went to the outlet mall to go shopping. I needed some fall shoes and a new bra. But the bra store was going out of business so they didn’t have anything in my size! Tamara bought me some shoes as a birthday present so now I am all set with good shoes for my feet year round!

We also stopped for lunch at a Jamaican place and I had SO much cabbage lol! I got a side of it, and then Tam gave me most of hers! It was soooooo good! I had that and some plantains, so a pretty healthy lunch.

There was a cool candy store there, and I got a video of Felix heeling next to me in the candy store and out into the food court. It had been two months since Felix had walked next to my wheelchair, but he picked it up again like nothing!

We also got a couple of pics of Tam and me in the candy store!

Later on, after a phone call with my dad about my mom, Tam got some really good pictures of Brad in his white blazer with gold details.

On our way home, we stopped by Publix for my free birthday cake!

It has been an absolutely wonderful birthday week! Today is technically one week after my birthday, but it’s not a celebration day because I have to go to the podiatrist…. Hopefully at least I’ll get good news that my stress fractures are healed! My feet are still hurting occasionally, but not a lot. So that is good.

I wish everyone got as wonderful of a birthday week as I did!
