Glencairn turtle walk 1

Today to celebrate being one week away from being fully vaccinated against COVID, Brad and I went to the park to take a walk! It was the first time in over a year that Brad has left the house for something other than a medical need.

His chair is still stuck in the elevated position, which means it is in turtle mode. Turtle mode means it goes very slowly so that it doesn’t accidentally tip over. We have someone coming out on the 15th to hopefully fix it!

Today was absolutely beautiful! It was a perfect day for a walk. And Glencairn Garden is a perfect place to take a walk for a photographer, as it is full of beautiful flowers.

We spent over an hour walking around the park, but we did stop a lot to take pictures 🙂 And we got some great ones! I got to show off my new dress and my practice at putting my hair in a crown braid.

In the pictures, I am a white woman with brown hair in a braid around my head in a crown. I am wearing a blue dress with red roses and white dogwood flowers on it. Hestia is a small white and black dog with a smushed nose and googley eyes. Brad is a man in a power wheelchair with a short beard wearing a white linen suit, a grey shirt, a pink bunny tie, a pastel blue scarf, and a black hat with blue polka dots and brim. In the pictures, we are variously posing with flowers or next to fountains or on bridges over streams– there are three fountains in this park and a stream with many bridges and pools!
