Thank goodness for curbside voting

Today we voted in the primaries here in South Carolina, and I had to use the curbside voting because I fainted.

We picked up Scarlet first and brought them to their voting place. I was able to go in there, but wasn’t feeling super hot. Then after we dropped them off and started going to our voting place, I started getting really really dizzy and nauseous.

I recently have had to take Tramadol for tooth pain. One of Tramadol’s side effects is dizziness, so that might be what was going on. I also do tend to faint about once a year, so it could have just been that, too.

When we got to the polling place, I couldn’t get out of the car. I opened the door to feel the cool air and Brad went in to vote himself and tell them that I needed curbside voting.

While waiting for them to come out to assist me, I ended up passing out. Luckily I had come to by the time they arrived (it took a while!). When I came to, Hestia (who was in the back, I was in the front) was barking like mad! She was really worried about me.

I was very very happy that curbside voting is an option, because otherwise I would not have been able to vote today!

I’m going to take it easy for the rest of the day. I have a headache now and am still nauseous and dizzy, so I won’t be getting up from the couch at all except to fix myself dinner in an hour.
