A formal flapper at the cafe 6

Today was bagel day!  Every Saturday a bunch of NAMI friends meet at Bagel Boat and have food and coffee and we talk about everything.  We call it bagel day.  Today was extra special because a friend of mine (Betsey) had quadruple heart bypass surgery a couple weeks ago.  This was the first time I’ve gotten to see her since before she was ill!  Luckily she is doing a lot better now!

I dressed up for bagel day, not because it is a fancy event, but I wanted to test-wear my 1920s dress and make sure it’d be OK for wearing to go see Wicked.  It is a green and black dress with black sequins all over the dress in interesting 20s patterns.  The bottom 1/3 of the dress is fringe!  It is a very pretty dress, and I got it on Amazon Prime Day for $10!

Brad got three good pics to share.  Two of them are of our group of friends at bagel day, and I am sitting down so you can’t see all my dress.  Then Brad got a picture of me with my friend Meike where you can see my whole dress.  Fun!  Enjoy the pictures!

Tommy is a muscular almost 30 year old man in the foreground. Me (30-something with long curly brown hair), and my friends Dan and Betsey (50-60 year old couple who are both very small and thin framed). They are Tommy's parents.

A wide angle shot of everyone at Bagel Boat today! In addition to Tom, Dan and Betsey, there is Marija (a 40-something woman with black curly hair), Meike (60-something with blond and grey hair, her husband Bill (60-something with mostly no hair), and Tony (30-something clean shaven on face and head).

And just why does Miss Hessie not have “flappers” hanging from her vest??? You’ve got a lot of gear for her, and I’m surprised to see her with no sparkly sequins nor any flapper hangings.

But it is a good color on you V, and I do like the dress!

I don’t think Brad would let me get a sequined flapper vest for Hestia 🙁 There is a glitter vest out there that I love, but Brad says it is too unprofessional 🙁 He is grudgingly OK with the Hufflepuff vest because it looks a bit professional in the choice of fabric and patches, but no way would he approve a flapper vest for Miss Hestia!
