Today I have been back and forth between happy and calm, and super anxious. The day started well talking with my parents. They are so funny– well mostly my dad is, my mom is a normal parent. Unfortunately he had something going on, so we didn’t get to talk as much as usual. But we had a good time talking, me and my mom!
Then we went to Earth Fare. They were having a huge BOGO sale (buy one, get one free)! I started out doing OK in the store, it wasn’t very crowded for a Sunday afternoon! And luckily the things we wanted to BOGO were still in stock!
Halfway through the store, Hestia started spinning, which is how she tells me she needs to potty. So I rushed her outside and she pooped.
When I got back into the store, after a short time I suddenly felt overwhelmed. I was having Brad take pictures of Hestia and of Hestia and me, and this family was walking by with a (very well behaved!) child that I felt like I needed to interact with because she was doing so well. So I gave her a flyer.
Then I walked over to Brad and he snapped a few pictures of me without me realizing it. So you get to see Veronica in anxiety mode he he he.
Then I realized that I have a service dog who helps me when I am anxious, so I picked her up and immediately she started to soothe me with pressure therapy, and I was able to ground myself using her. So Brad took some pics of us where I am actually happy again!
We got loads of good food, and as a treat I got some guacamole! It was BOGO as were most things in our cart he he! I also got some cheese! Yummy!
In the pictures I am wearing my wool summer dress. Yes, a summer wool dress! It is made of very fine wool fibers so it is light and not scratchy, and it is great at wicking moisture away so that you actually stay cooler than you would with cotton! It is a pink and orange and white abstract pattern dress.
Hestia is wearing her Hufflepuff vest, which is yellow with the Hufflepuff crest on it, and has Harry Potter themed patches. Here are all the pics!
