A niece video from Brad 2

Instead of having a party for our niece’s birthday, we were all asked to make videos for her.

Brad loves videography and planning out and directing videos, so this was a task right up his alley! I suggested setting it to a song from Frozen, our niece’s favorite movie, and Brad took the reins and ran with the idea!

He planned out every shot intricately and had a lot of fun with his lights, too!

I am so pleased with the 60-second video, and Brad is too. We can’t stop watching it! We hope it brings you some joy, too!

The link to the video is just below, and below that is a text description including the lyrics and a description of what happens in the video. We think the lyrics are perfect for the pandemic.

For years I’ve roamed these empty halls

Why have a ballroom with no balls?

Finally they’re opening up the gates

There’ll be actual real live people

It’ll be totally strange

But wow, am I so ready for this change!

‘Cause for the first time in forever

There’ll be music, there’ll be light

For the first time in forever I’ll be dancing through the night

Don’t know if I’m elated or gassy

But I’m somewhere in that zone

‘Cause for the first time in forever

I won’t be alone

I can’t wait to meet everyone!

Then at the end we say “Happy birthday Eliya, we love you!”

Visual description: Veronica wears a rose dress and holds Hestia. She runs down the hallway with Ollie next to her, looking to the sides and smiling.

Closeup of Ollie, looking sad when they say that there haven’t been any balls.

Approaching the front door of our house, the door opens and blue light spills out. Ollie and Hestia stand in the doorway, welcoming their visitor.

Rolling along the wooden floor, the camera traces a blue light.

Veronica holds Hestia and dances with Brad. Brad is wearing white pants with black stripes, white shoes, a silver vest, and a red blazer. He is in his power wheelchair. Veronica and Brad come closer and further from each other, and Veronica spins into Brad’s arms. When she does this, the camera angle whirls to a closeup of Veronica’s face with Hestia in her arms, smiling. Then Brad twirls Veronica under his arm.

When the lyrics talk about being gassy, there’s a closeup on Hestia cocking her head to the side.

Brad looks down and pets Ollie’s head while smiling, then he raises his head and looks into the camera and waves.

Brad sits in his wheelchair, while Veronica crouches next to him holding Hestia. Ollie is in between them. They smile and wave, and when the music stops they say Happy Birthday to Eliya. While this is happening, purple colored star lights are streaming in from the top right corner of the video.
