Saturday skipabout

Today I got to meet up with my friends Doc and Dan! But first we had to take Ollie to the vet. He has an upper respiratory infection that he picked up while boarding. He had a hard time sleeping last night he was so congested, so we went to the vet this morning. They said he will be fine, and gave us some antibiotics. I hope he feels better soon!

I hadn’t been home much more than 20 minutes when Doc showed up! We drove over to pick up Dan, and then to Jimmy John’s. I got a spicy Italian “unwich”, which is a sandwich with lettuce wrap instead of bread. It was super tasty!

Next we headed to a coffee shop, where we sat and talked for a long while. It was a lot of fun! I missed seeing Doc and Dan last week, so it was good to catch up. After the coffee, I was super full! But Dan wanted a donut! So off we went to Dunkin’! We sat there and chatted for a while, too.

On our way back to Dan’s place, we stopped into 7-eleven. This is the 7-eleven that used to always have a sign in the disabled access aisle (striped parking section next to accessible spaces) and used to yell at me for having an unvested service dog. So I was nervous, but it was great! No issues at all, so I guess they have educated the store, yay!

Finally we ended up at Dan’s place. We always have such a good time talking, especially about our mental illnesses. It is so great to have close friends who are so much like me, and we all value our mental health so much. We help each other, compare experiences, and learn from each other.

We got a selfie of the three of us plus Hestia at the coffee shop, it is below! Doc is on the left, he has a goatee and is smiling. I am in the middle in a red dress with Hestia on my lap. Of course I am smiling. And rarely, Dan on the right is smiling, too!
