Hestia laps it up at the dentist

Today we went to the dentist! We love our dentist and the staff in his office. We go to Dr. Park, and this is the second year that we’ve gone there. They are my favorite dentist’s office I have ever been to!

Brad went first and I sat in the waiting room. There were two sisters in the waiting room who were 7 and 5 years old. They came over to me very interested in Hestia, of course! I told them all about Hestia and how she helps me. They were very good and did not pet her, even though they really really really wanted to!

After talking about Hestia for a long while, they asked me about the “old man”. I figured out they were talking about Brad! He he he, I didn’t know he was an old man! Eventually the disability stuff became boring, and they started in on the usual 7 and 5 year old games! The seven year old wanted to fix me pretend food and drinks, and insisted that I share them with Hestia as well. Hestia and I dutifully ate and drank our way through the hour with her. My favorite concoction that she came up with was a chocolate cake with rainbow filling and caramel sauce. That sounded super tasty to me! The five year old kept bringing her toy doll over and having it poop on my head he he he!

When Brad was done with his cleaning and exam, they called me back. I was super happy to see the hygienist, Ellen! She remembered me and Hestia and was SO excited to have us back! We picked up where we left off last year talking about dogs and service dogs and had a great time. While she was cleaning my teeth, we asked one of the other office staff to take a picture of her working on my teeth with Hestia on my lap. The picture is below, and it is a great one!

After the friendly cleaning and X-rays, Dr. Park came in and we also got to talk a bit about service dogs. He looked at my X-rays and at my teeth, and told me I didn’t have any cavities! Woo hooo! I was really happy to hear that! Unfortunately Brad (who flosses every night!) did have a cavity. This is extremely unusual! He hasn’t had a cavity in like a decade or longer and Dr. Park said he couldn’t have prevented it! Luckily they had a cancellation, so they were able to fit Brad in to have his cavity fixed while we were already there. No numbing needed!

We are so happy with Dr. Park and his staff. Everyone was so welcoming and very respectful of Hestia. If you live in Rock Hill and are looking for a dentist, give them a call!

Ellen, the hygienist, is a woman with short hair wearing a dental mask. She is wearing turquoise scrubs with a turquoise and purple flowered jacket, and has cleaning tools in her hands while actively cleaning Veronica's teeth. Veronica is wearing her blue lace ruffle dress and has a pink bib on. Hestia is wearing her red mesh vest and is lying on Veronica's lap. She is looking up at the camera with a surprised expression on her googley face!
