Waggin’ Trail dog walk 1

Today was a local event called Waggin’ Trail dog walk. It is a walk around a local pond, and there are vendor areas for people to set up to sell things and spread the word about their organizations. Brad, Hestia, and I went and set up a tent for Psychiatric Service Dog Partners. It was perfect weather, mid 70s and sunny.

Lots of people pitched in to help us get our tent set up and for teardown at the end, so it really wasn’t all that much work getting everything there and back. We handed out freebies like water and ribbons, and chatted with people about service dogs. It was great!

They had a few contests that Brad wouldn’t let me enter (he said it would be unprofessional)… but when the contestants (cutest dog, best trick, best costume, etc) were competing, I kept thinking that Hestia would have won everything. This made me really antsy and upset in a weird way. Hestia noticed and climbed right up onto my chest. Brad snapped a picture and told me that I would win all the contests at home. Him taking pictures and Hestia’s pressure over my heart made me feel better, as you can see in the picture below.

Brad took some pics, they are almost all from inside our tent space, which has a green backdrop. So the pictures are a little green-tinted. I am wearing a yellow dress and green solidarity scarf. Brad has a pink blazer with a green solidarity scarf. Hestia is wearing a green vest (used to be Peregrine’s!).

Brad sits in the middle of our setup, with a table of flyers and other PSDP info on the left, and a freebie table on the right.
