7 hours away from Hestia! 3

Today my friend CJ and I went swimming.  I left Hestia at home because she is uncomfortable at the pool.  And CJ is my service human when Hestia is not there.

We had a great time swimming!  I think we swam for 20-30 minutes!  I was very tired when we were done, but it was tired in a good way.  Swimming with CJ is much more fun and rewarding than water aerobics!

After swimming we went to our friend Dan A’s house to pick him up, and then we went out for lunch.  I got sweet potato fries and a smoothie that only had fruit and plain yogurt in it.  I stuck to my diet!  Then we went to Dunkin’ Donuts!  I stuck with my diet there, too, and just got tea (unsweet).  I was very proud of myself.

When we were done, we went back to Dan’s house and CJ taught Dan how to text, with me being the practice person to text with.  It was fun, and Dan learned it really fast!

I was still feeling pretty good, so I offered to drive CJ home (Dan lives between CJ’s house and mine) instead of making him get an uber.  I am getting so comfortable driving!  It is great!

I ran into a lot of traffic on the way home, and it ended up that when I got home, it was 7 hrs after I left.

CJ and Dan were great supports, and I hardly missed Hestia.  We have a lot of fun hanging out.  When I lived in NorCal, Jeanne, Linden, and I were the three musketeers.  Now in South Carolina, it’s me, CJ, and Dan who are the three musketeers!

I’m happy I don’t have to go anywhere tomorrow, because I’ll probably have to sleep all day to recover!

Oh how I miss our NorCal Group meet-ups. They were good for me personally – made me actually have to TALK to strangers! V, you were the Captain of our ship; guiding us to interesting places to visit for fun, and places for training in public. Oh what fun we had. The one trip I missed was Zeus in an IKEA bathtub! Thanks to Brad being our “Official Photographer” I have that picture.

It makes me very happy to hear you have another established meet-up group. One in which you are comfortable enough to be without Miss Hestia; and being able to drive all on your own. Your inner strength just continues to grow – and it certainly is an inspiration to to do the same…
