Vet and groceries 2

Black and white dog peering over the edge of a table looking worried.Today we took Hestia to the vet for her yearly exam.  It’s been pretty muddy, so I gave her a bath yesterday to clean her up for the vet.  The only problem is that no matter how hard I washed, I couldn’t get the yellow out on her tail and legs!  I keep making the case to Brad that I need some of that Chris Christensen White on White shampoo!

Anyway, we went to the vet and everything is normal.  They said she’s at a perfect weight, everything looks very healthy.  The vet was especially pleased with her teeth!  And I have never ever brushed them before.  But I do feed her raw, so she cleans her teeth every meal 🙂  It was nice to have the vet and techs ooh and aah over her.

They had to take her in back to weigh her, take some blood, cut her nails, etc.  I always figure this is a great opportunity for Hestia to learn she can be away from me and still be OK, so I don’t go back with them.  But what I didn’t count on was my emotional state!  It was SO hard for me!  I very nearly cancelled our grocery shopping trip afterwards, it was so hard.

Instead, though, I just carried Hestia and hid behind her in the grocery store.  Brad let me get some organic gummy worms!  That is a great way to get me to like going to the store!  I got just one serving.

Now we are home and relaxing.  Dancing with the Stars starts tonight, so I’ll be staying up late, but I have to leave the house at 6:15 AM to take a friend to the food bank tomorrow!  That is very very early for me!  But it is worth it.  I’ll try to get a couple pictures of us there 🙂

So glad you made it though the day okay. Brad really knows how to help doesn’t he? I remember at the convention I was worried about something I did and I could not let it go. Brad all the sudden asked me if I like Zebras. Then we talked about that so somehow I was over worrying. That was a big help. I miss you guys. I’m still getting by on the extra spoons I somehow collected while I was at the convention.
Sorry my comment got a little off topic, But staying on topic is not my strong suit. LOL
